The Burdekin Toastmasters Club History Project
The aims and goals of the Berdekin Toastmasters club History Project is to publish information providing some history of the club using online technologies (Website), The project will encourage senior members to share the past with the members responsible for completing the project. New members and/or existing members are encouraged to participate by obtaining materials to be published, designing and publishing pages and ask questions.
Publishing Club history is an important part of club sustainability as it will provide the evidence of a long running healthy organisation and is also an ongoing project well into the future oh, yeah! its designed to be fun as well!
With today’s technologies (website and related tools) just about everything we publish is logged and recorded to allow existing and new members of the future to take a journey into the past (today).
This website is designed with a history record in mind in the form of a blog but that only starts today, but what about the last 30 years?
If any members have any material they would like to share, photos, articles, media and print, I encourage you to dig deep into the old shoe boxes or newspaper clippings and give permission to publish. If you have any comments, suggestions, or all of a sudden inspired to write a short (or long ) article of the past why not have it published?
