Basic Manual
All Toastmasters complete 10 speeches from the “Competent Communication Program” before they are awarded with the Competent Communicator (CC) award.
Each speech has a different objective as shown below.

| 4. How to say it | 5-7 | To precisely select the right words to communicate your idea clearly and vividly |
| 5. Your body speaks | 5-7 | Use body language to express your message |
| 6. Vocal variety | 5-7 | Use voice volume, pitch, rate and quality to enhance your message |
| 7. Research your topic | 5-7 | Research a topic and use supporting evidence to deliver your speech |
| 8. Get comfortable with visual aids | 5-7 | Select and use visual aids correctly to deliver an effective message |
| 9. Persuade with power | 5-7 | Persuade listeners to adopt your viewpoint or ideas to take action |
| 10. Inspire your audience | 8-10 | Inspire and challenge an audience to a higher level of belief or achievement |
