Leadership Series
The Toastmasters education program also allows members to develop their
leadership skills via a leadership track. Members can opt to undertake
this training whilst doing their project speeches in the communication track.
Beginning on the 1st July 2006, there are four award levels in the
new leadership track and the requirements to
achieve each on can be obtained by clicking on the links below.
- Competent Leader (CL)
- Requirements
* Completed 10 leadership projects as outlined in the Competent Leadership (CL) manual
- Advanced Leader Bronze (ALB)
- Requirements
* Achieved Competent Leader Award (CL)
* Achieved Competent Communicator Award (CC)
* Served at least six months as a club officer on the club executive team and participated in the preparation of the club success plan.
* Attended a club officer training program while participating on the club executive.
* Conducted any two programs from The Successful Club Series and/or The Leadership Excellence Series.
- Advanced Leader Silver (ALS)
- Requirements
* Achieved Advanced Leader Bronze Award (ALB)
* Served a complete term as a district officer (district governor, lieutenant governor, public relations officer, secretary, treasurer, division governor, area governor
* Completed the High Performance Leadership program
* Served successfully as a club sponsor, mentor or coach
- Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM)
- Requirements
* Achieved Advanced Communicator Gold (ACG)
* Achieved Advanced Leader Silver Award (ALS)
Distinguished Toastmaster is the highest recognition a member may receive.
