Speechcraft
Speechcraft is a short program developed by Toastmasters International that teaches basic public speaking skills. During the program, participants have the opportunity to present three to six speeches, introduce other speakers and to serve as evaluators.
Why do Speechcraft?
Speechcraft will help you to:
- Communicate better in the workplace, home and socially
- learn how to organise and present ideas logically
- present in a manner that engages an audience
- gain self-confidence
- participate and enjoy conversation in any setting.
During a Speechcraft program you will:
- Be provided with professionally designed course resources manuals
- Obtain instruction from experienced Toastmasters
- Practice impromptu and prepared speaking; and speech evaluation
- Learn about how to engage your audience and maintain contact using voice;
gestures; body language; speech structures and techniques
How do I register?
Burdekin Toastmasters will conduct another Speechcraft course beginning on the 20th April 2009. This course is limited to a maximum of 15 participants. Interested people should contact Matt Patane on 4782 1652.
